Wired, Sports Illustrated and others are hopeful that the iPad will revive print. This is a compelling demo from Sports Ilustrated. http://tiny.cc/suukD What do you think?
I'm interested in iPad as a new medium for publishing.
sure it will improve a lot as MAC puts good amount of money behind it.
in 5 years I would say: "yes, I estimate it will take a big share off printing industry". however, nothing will replace print as you can't make it simply vanish, or it might take like 20 years from 2010.
we can't ignore iPad and I believe it will improve more and gets more affordable for end users. Looking forward start to publish Bibles and other books for it.
In a word: nope. Not because pint is dead, but because print transformed a long time ago and its only taking the industry this long to realize it.
Plus, what sense does it make using the analogy "print" when on a computer screen its "input" and "display?" Print = passive while input & display = interactive; reviving passivity should not be the goal of anyone these days.
The purpose of this group is to discuss and share best practices on how to increase awareness, connect with your "audience" and spread the message of Christ broader through your visual tools and resources.
