I want to add that I think stories like this, from other countries in Asia, will connect with Japanese. What I am not interested in doing is material from the West dubbed into Japanese -- we have more than enough of that around. I will take a look a…

The My Story concept is to create a library of Japanese sharing their stories about faith, God, hope and life in a winsome, non-churchy way. We have completed one, a pilot that was a good learning experience. You can view it here: http://www.youtube

Thanks for connecting Dan! Great video, I am interested in getting this put into Japanese and including it in our library of "My Story" shorts that we are working on. Is that a possibility? We would put it on youtube as well as on DVD.

Cool. We investigated Chinese animation studios a bit, but for our project we settled on a Japanese anime studio. We're working through Brethren Entertainment (based out of Seattle) to manage the project, plus they have people on the ground (Christians) in Japan to work with the animators and director. What is your project about?

Realizing that everything students learn about video is transferable to film, we also understand what it takes to establish a career in the film industry.

Until now, our best solution has been to allow students an exchange semester at http://lafsc.bestsemester.com/overview.asp so they can learn in Hollywood.

I would be interested in talking some time about opportunities for our students in Japan.

Did you see my comment to you yesterday? I find no record of it on our home pages, but I'm just now getting acquainted with this networking tool so it may private to your log in.

There's a chance I'll return to Japan in 09 for the next Church Planting Institute event, but there's nothing definite. I'm getting more interested in the film side of media since becoming involved with the VSN, but my focus is still interactive emerging technologies.

Our new benefactor at ORU in Tulsa htttp://www.oru.edu runs a film company http://www.everytribe.com/Movies/EndOfTheSpear.aspx , so I see us stepping up beyond our history of involvement with the LA Film Studies Center http://lafsc.bestsemester.com/overview.asp where we send students for a Hollywood experience in their senior year. We've always taught TV/video, but never film on campus.

How can I get up to speed on your recent projects that might involve students in Japan?
